Coed Varsity Cross Country · JCHS XC Mizuno Covered Bridge Run Recap 9.10.16

A bright, sunny day brought the Johns Creek Gladiator cross country team to nearby Roswell, GA.  This was a day that left Johns Creek  short with many Varsity and JV runner’s who were taking ACT exams. Allison Rothrock ran for Varsity Girls and did not disappoint with a stunning 20:07.67 5K, which was good for 6th overall and put her up to 4th place in JCHS junior history!  Lambert was on top with Johns Creek in 8th place out of 17 schools.


Varsity Boys 5K was up next with junior Matthew Wozniak the JCHS leader with a time of 17:52.11.  Lambert again was on top and JCHS was 9th out of 22 schools.


JV Girls were the next group to run and freshman Madigan Wallace took first place overall out 315 runners in the race in a time of 21:37.52 and was all smiles after the race. The meet was won by Cambridge HS and JCHS was 5th out of 16 schools.


The final division was the JV Boys who were led by Johns Creek by senior Justin Krucher who stopped the clock in 19:57.78. Right on his heels were sophomores Maxwell Lichtenfeld in 19:59.13 and Will Hudgins in 19:59.23. St Pius X was the JV Boys leader, while JCHS was 8th out of 19 schools.


Next Saturday, September 17th the Gladiators will compete at the Fulton County Championships at Milton High School.
