Voting will end on Sunday, February 19th at 9pm.

Below are the November/December 2016 Nominations for Athlete of the Month:

Female Athlete of the Month Nominations

Tori Templet – Diver – Junior Tori Templet is a member of the Swim/Dive Team for which she participates as a diver. Tori has a long history of athletic competition as both a diver and competitive cheerleader. At age 4 she began completing for St. Ives Country Club’s summer dive league. At 10 years of age, she began to dive in the Junior Olympics program at GA Tech and was nationally ranked. After 7th grade, Tori decided to put diving on hold to pursue competition cheerleading but she continued to dive in the summer league. After her JCHS Varsity Cheerleading team won State in 2015, she decided to return to diving in the hopes of a varsity letter and a state championship for JCHS in Swim & Dive! As much as Tori loves the performance part of diving, she also loves the team aspect. She has the utmost respect for every member’s athleticism and dedication to practice.

At the Johns Creek versus Lambert dual meet on 12/1, Tori not only won the diving competition but also qualified for the GHSA State Meet in February. She continued to dive well at the Madeline Judd Brown Meet of Champions at Emory University on 12/17, where she placed ninth facing many of the best divers in the southeast. At the Fulton County Championship on 1/12, Tori won the girls 1-meter diving defeating her friend and Cambridge diver Maddie Chaloux, by only 2 points. Her goal was to defeat Maddie and she did it!

Tori helps her community by using both her athletic and vocal ability, coupled with her love for children. She has coached JCYFA cheerleading for youth football for six straight years.  She also is an active member of JCHS Beta Club. She leads worship (singing on stage) at Up Street every week for Northpoint Church.
