The Johns Creek JV boys soccer team started the season much as they have each of the first 8 years, with a win. Last night the Gladiators defeated the South Forsyth War Eagles 2-0 behind two first half goals from Justin Ohh. Johns Creek controlled play from the opening whistle with good possession and build up play and were rewarded with an early goal when sophomore Drew Madren slid a perfectly weighted through ball into the path of freshman Justin Ohh who blasted a shot that beat the keeper near post. Ohh would get his second late in the first half on a free kick from the outside of the 18 when he curled a free kick around the keeper and into the back post. The win was maintained by confident goalkeeping from freshman CJ Wyborn and solid defending from the Gladiators.
The win marks the first ever high school win for the new JV coaching staff of Malik Mohammed and Derek Segaloff.
