The Johns Creek Boys JV Soccer Team got their second win in as many games to start the season with a 1-0 victory last night over the West Forsyth Wolverines. It was a cagey and high intensity matchup at West Forsyth with both teams struggling to gain much control of the ball with pressure being applied by JCHS and WFHS all over the field. The first half saw only half chances to score goals and neither team was able to capitalize sending the teams into halftime tied at 0-0.
The second half was more of the same early on but with only 15 minutes left to play sophomore forward Kyle McGinley broke in behind the West Forsyth backline and cut a ball back to the top of the 18 where freshman Justin Ohh was waiting. Ohh turned and bent a shot past the Wolverines keeper for the what turned out to be the game winning goal and it was Ohh’s third goal in two games.
The boys JV returns to action Monday night here at JCHS to play against Roswell High School at 5:55.
