Boys Varsity Golf · Gladiators Capture 4 Consecutive State Golf Championship

Your Gladiators Men’s Golf Team is now the 4 time defending GHSA AAAAAA State Champions!

On Monday and Tuesday, the Gladiators hit the links at Woodmont Golf and Country Club determined to defend their 3 consecutive state championships.   What the team did was set the course on fire by shooting a two day total of 556 which is 20 under par.  This was good enough to give the Gladiators a 26 stroke victory over state runner up Creekview High School on their home course.  The graduating senior class of 2019 has now won a state championship all 4 years in high school.

Leading the charge for the Gladiators was Any Mao who would shoot a two day total of 132 which placed him as the lowest medalist at 12 under par.  He was followed by teammate Bruce Murphy who would shoot an incredible 3 under par 141 placing him as second lowest medalist.  The Gladiators also placed 3 other golfers in the top seven with Deven Patel shooting a 1 under par for 3rd place, Jake Calamaro and Preston Topper shooting even par and finishing in a tie for 7th place.  Chandler Drake would shoot a 161 for the tournament to round out a truly amazing team effort.

Please congratulate all athletes and coaches as they have defended and brought home the 4th consecutive state golf championship in a row!

WE ARE THE CREEK!
