Gladiator Nation and All Visiting Fans,
We would like to welcome you to Johns Creek High School for the Winter of 2020-21 Basketball season. We are excited about the opportunity to start our Basketball season and look forward to having you visit our community and school. Fulton County Schools has released attendance restrictions and social distancing requirements for each of its high schools based on the size of the venue for each game. We ask that everyone understand that while we are excited about games; we will be operating under different rules and regulations than previous years. Below is the breakdown for game attendance in the Johns Creek Main & Aux Gyms.
Main Gym Normal Capacity: 2006
Aux Gym Normal Capacity: 372
Current Main Gym Capacity: 200
Aux Gym Social Distancing: We will not be playing games in the Aux Gym this season
Given the different number of games going on a given basketball game day; JCHS is prepared to host multiple games and meet all cleaning standards established by FCS and the GHSA. This allows the maximum amount of attendance for fans while at the same time practice social distancing for safety. Please make sure to follow the directions below when planning to attend a Basketball game on our campus.
Day of the Game
Make sure to purchase your ticket on GoFan before arriving on campus. There will be no ticket sales at the gate during limited attendance. GAA members can claim their passes on GoFan as well. We are attempting to send out GAA links for home games each week starting on Sundays. However, please realize that due to the pandemic; our schedule could change very quickly. You will have your GAA link emailed no later to you than Monday.
Basketball parents who are are not GAA members will receive an email link on Mondays to purchase tickets for home games that week. However, please realize that due to the pandemic; our schedule could change very quickly.
Away teams will be allotted 60 tickets to purchase using a private link. That information will be sent to your school AD the week of the game.
Any remaining available tickets will be on the JCHS GoFan page the day of the home game.
NEW for 2020-21: All JCHS home basketball games will be broadcast on the NFHS Network. We now have a Pixellot camera that will broadcast all games in our main gym no matter the level of the high school team. You will need to create an account with the NFHS Network and sign up for a paid membership to view games online. Portions of your membership go to support the JCHS Athletic Department.
All Basketball fans need to park in the front of the school. This gives you the closest access to the only gate open for Basketball games.
The front entrance of JCHS
The main gym is to the right of front entrance of the school.
Use the steps to the left of the Main Gym to enter through Door 37
Go to the 1st hallway intersection and you will find the Basketball Gate
Here you will complete your temperature check, screening questions, and have your digital ticket redeemed by a JCHS gateworker. Please remember masks must be worn at all times in order to attend an FCS Athletic event. All fans will enter the main gym from upstairs.
Every other row is marked off with a row closed sign for social distancing purposes. See the example below. Please do not sit in a row labeled closed. Your personal family is allowed to sit with each other but must social distance as much as possible using the entire gym. The first 4 rows closest to the court will be blocked off and no fan may go beyond that point. All fans can use the restrooms at the top of the main gym.
When leaving the gym; all fans will exit out the top of the gym. No fans will be allowed onto the court before, during, or after the games. If you are waiting on your athlete after the game; please do so outside of the gym facilities.
The JCHS Athletic Department understands that our events will look different this year. We are excited about the opportunity to return to the court. We hope that you enjoy your visit to our campus. Remember to buy your ticket with GoFan before your arrival, mask up, and we will see you in the gym very soon.
