Coed Varsity Track · Track Tests Its Legs at Roswell 8 Way

A good weekend for our first competition at Roswell High School, weather was nice after a chilly start.  The athletes did a great job overall being ready for their events, in the right places at the right times and wearing masks.  We had a lot of PR’s and exciting results, below are some shoutouts from the coaches:

  • Throwers Connor Barber and Andrew Song for PR’s and Dube Anyanwutaku finished 2nd!
  • Pole Vaulters Billy Moonan and Lathem Hester for finishing 3rd and 4th, Dylan Rechtman for a PR and Caroline White clearing 7’ in her competition!
  • Distance Boys dropped a lot of PR’s on their second races showing good learning and guts!  Will Gonzales broke 5’ on the mile while Kellen Fain and Declan Adams dropped 7 seconds each on their 800’s!
  • Horizontal Jumpers  Jayden Dykes (PR!) and Micah Gay performed great jumps on just a couple practices!
  • Seasons Bests for all 100, 200 and 400 runners.  Skye Chambers Placed 2nd in the 200 and 400, Dube Anyanwutaku 8th in the 800 and 400, Enzo Forucci starts the season with a 300H PR. The girls and boys 4×200 teams each took 2nd place!
  • Finally, race day hero awards to Kellen Fain and Declan Adams (who literally got back out of the car!) and stepped in to fill in for two teammates in the 4×400!
