The Johns Creek girls lacrosse team earned a 15–9 victory over North Paulding in a tough, physical, and well-fought contest on Tuesday night.
Johns Creek faced an early challenge, falling behind 3–1 after the first quarter. The Gladiators responded with a strong second quarter, finding their rhythm on both ends of the field and taking control of the game with a 9–5 lead at halftime. The momentum carried through the second half as Johns Creek continued to apply pressure offensively while staying composed defensively.
Hayden Huston led the scoring effort with seven goals, providing a consistent offensive spark. Sydnee Cane contributed across the field with three goals and four assists, helping facilitate ball movement and scoring opportunities. Defensively, Mallory Watson was disruptive throughout the night, recording four caused turnovers. In goal, Rachel Streeter made five saves to help limit North Paulding’s scoring chances.
With the win, Johns Creek looks ahead to a region matchup against Chattahoochee on Friday, March 20. The game is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at Chattahoochee.
