Gladiators Defeat Seckinger 6–3 Behind Strong Offense and Wilcox’s Dominance

Johns Creek, GA — March 18, 2026
The Johns Creek Gladiators protected home turf on Wednesday night at The Nic, defeating the Seckinger Jaguars 6–3 in a well-rounded performance that featured timely hitting, sharp pitching, and clean execution.

Johns Creek’s offense was steady throughout the game, piling up hits from nearly every spot in the lineup. Jayden Shah led the charge with a three-hit, three-RBI performance that repeatedly ignited scoring opportunities for the Gladiators. He was joined by several teammates who delivered multi-hit efforts of their own, including Drew King, Walker Smith, Austin Brumfield, and Kellen Marshall.

Marshall came through with one of the game’s pivotal moments, delivering a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning to extend the Gladiators’ lead and provide a crucial late insurance run. Small-ball fundamentals played a role as well, with both Watson Dufresne and Brumfield executing sacrifice bunts to move runners into scoring position and keep the pressure on Seckinger’s defense.

On the mound, starter Micah Wilcox turned in an impressive outing. The right-hander worked 6.2 innings, allowing only two hits and one earned run while striking out six Jaguars. His efficiency and command kept Seckinger off balance throughout the night and earned him the win. With two outs in the seventh, reliever Jacob Fetz entered and recorded the final out on a pop-up to left field to secure the victory.

The win evens the series and sets up a decisive Game Three, which will be played at Seckinger High School on Friday, March 20 at 7 p.m.
