Johns Creek Boys Golf Captures GSGA High School Preview Title

The Johns Creek boys golf team delivered an impressive performance in Columbus, Georgia, winning the GSGA High School Preview against a highly competitive 12‑team field. The two‑day event featured many of last year’s top GHSA state tournament finishers, and the Gladiators were up to the challenge, securing the tournament title by eight strokes.

The team of Asher Sisk, Huntley Couch, Jayden Barillari, and Naman Sharma set a consistent tone throughout both rounds. Leading the way was Sisk, who finished as the tournament’s low medalist runner‑up. His run came down to a sudden‑death playoff, where he narrowly fell to Bodie Brumlow of Cartersville High School. Sisk shot a 69 and 71 for the tournament. Huntley Couch was also just as impressive carding a 73 and 75 over two days. Both Sisk and Couch earned All‑Tournament Team honors for their strong play and contributions to the overall victory. Jayden Barillari followed with respectable rounds of 78 on day one and bouncing back on day two with a 71.

This is the teams second major tournament win this year.

The Gladiators are back in action again on Saturday at the North Gwinnett Invitational being played at Bears Best Golf Club in Suwanee, Georgia. First Tee is 9:00 AM.
