Flowery Branch, GA — February 19, 2026
In a game that stretched late into the night and lasted 4 hours and 23 minutes, the Johns Creek Gladiator varsity baseball team pulled off a dramatic 13–11 extra‑inning victory over the Flowery Branch Falcons at the Hog Mountain Sports Complex on Thursday.

Johns Creek trailed 9–4 in the fifth inning before mounting a determined comeback to tie the game at 9–9, ultimately forcing extra innings. The Gladiators broke the deadlock in the top of the 11th, plating four runs to seize control of the contest. Flowery Branch answered with two runs in the bottom half, but Johns Creek held on to secure the hard‑fought win.

Reliever Henry Lindberg earned the victory on the mound, delivering four crucial late‑game innings while allowing no earned runs. His steady presence helped stabilize the game as the Gladiators clawed their way back.

Johns Creek collected 11 hits on the night.

  • Chris Sellars and Walker Smith paced the offense with two hits apiece.
  • Sellars led all batters with four RBI, providing key run production throughout the evening.
  • Rhodes Sullivan delivered one of the game’s biggest moments, ripping a clutch two‑out, two‑RBI single during the comeback surge.
  • Micah Wilcox, Drew King, Henry Lindberg, Luke Volpe, and Sean Kennedy each added a hit, contributing to the balanced offensive effort.

The marathon win marks one of the longest and most dramatic games of the season for the Gladiators, who showed resilience, timely hitting, and strong relief pitching to close out the night with a victory. The Gladiators start region play next week with a three game set against the Roswell Hornets.
