A tough shooting night and a disruptive Milton defense proved too much for the Johns Creek Gladiators on Friday, as the Eagles pulled away for a 73–44 win in a Region 7‑5A matchup at Johns Creek High School.
Milton opened slowly, edging ahead just 13–10 after the first quarter, but everything shifted in the second period. The Eagles ramped up their defensive pressure, forcing turnovers and turning them into transition points that broke the game open before halftime.
Guards Deyva Davis and Grace Musselman powered the Eagles’ attack, with Davis pouring in 25 points and Musselman adding 13. Their pace and perimeter pressure set the tone throughout the night.
Johns Creek was led by Florida Johnson with 10 points and Grace Landeck with 12, as the Gladiators continued to battle despite struggling to find consistent rhythm against Milton’s length and ball pressure.
