The Johns Creek boys basketball team pulled out a dramatic one-point victory Tuesday night, edging Seckinger 49–48 in a defensive battle that came down to the final possession.

With the game tied in the closing seconds, Tatum Holmes delivered the moment of the night. Holmes knocked down the game-winning shot with 6.3 seconds remaining to give the Gladiators the lead for good and send the home crowd into celebration. Seckinger’s final look was well defended as time expired, sealing the win for Johns Creek.

Holmes led all scorers with 18 points, shouldering the offensive load on a night when baskets were hard to come by. Isaiah Johnson provided key support with 13 points, including several timely scores that kept the Gladiators within striking distance throughout the game.

The contest was marked by physical play and strong defensive execution on both sides. Johns Creek leaned on its defense to overcome cold shooting stretches, forcing tough shots and limiting Seckinger’s opportunities late.

Head coach Tanner Burnett praised his team’s effort after the game, highlighting the defensive intensity and toughness his players showed from start to finish. Burnett also credited Seckinger for its valiant effort, noting the Jaguars’ resilience and competitiveness throughout the matchup.

In a game defined by grit, composure, and timely execution, the Gladiators found a way to finish—an encouraging sign as Johns Creek continues to build momentum heading deeper into the season.
