Track & Field Recap - Blue Devil Dual

Johns Creek Track and Field traveled to Norcross High School for the Blue Devil Duel and delivered a strong and steady showing across the board. The meet served as an early‑season opportunity for the team to measure progress and continue building consistency as athletes work into competitive form. The Gladiator girls turned in a commanding team win, supported by depth in both sprints and distance events, while the boys team produced several individual highlights that reflected ongoing development throughout the roster.

Boys Highlights
• Junior Akachi Nwizubo posted personal records in both the 100m and triple jump, finishing second in each event and adding another second-place finish on the day.
• Junior Stryder Jones set a personal record in the 800m, taking second place.
• Junior Clarke Boy earned a personal best of his own in the 800m, placing third.
• Sophomore Jonathon Thomas recorded a new personal record in the high jump and secured third place.
• Johns Creek swept the discus for nine points, led by Rylan Ciul, Walker Edmondson (with a personal record), and Garrett Sheffield.

Girls Highlights
• Freshman Aila Jackson won the 100m and set a personal record of 12.56.
• The 400m was a clean sweep for the Gladiators, with Korin Delfavero, Naomi Lopez, and Danika Sokolianska finishing in order.
• Johns Creek also swept all distance events. In the 800m, Cal Tech commit Pragya Modgil led the way, followed by Auva Khodakaram and Ava Reames.
• In the 1600m, Tasneem Ahmed earned the victory ahead of Auva Khodakaram and Amber Rossi.

Johns Creek will look to build on this performance as the season continues. With contributions coming from multiple grade levels and event groups, the team is developing the balance and depth needed for sustained success. The athletes and coaching staff will use this meet as a steppingstone as they shift attention to upcoming competitions and continue working toward strong results throughout the spring.
